Are You Pushing Clients Away with These Behaviors?

If you’re not be attracting enough clients, or you seem to be attracting the “wrong” clients (you know who I mean), the good news is the solution to finding more high end clients is right at your fingertips.
The, um, potentially challenging news is that the solution depends on you, not them.
The real issue is often buried under a plethora of how to’s and selling strategies. But at its core, overcoming the challenge of how to attract more high quality clients is most often a matter of mindset and internal thinking, rather than learning a bunch of new skills.
In other words, you might be pushing the “right” people away with the “right” actions stemming from the “wrong” mindset.
You see, mental snags have a way of disguising themselves as lack of knowledge. But no new action or skill will get the desired result until you leap the inner “belief hurdle” and your mindset is a match for your end goal. (That’s why lottery winners so often end up broke in a few short years.)
With that in mind, here are 4 “Belief Opportunities” to speed you on your way to a positive mindset and a practice filled with loyal, committed, ready-to-invest clients.
Belief Opportunity #1 - Are You Secretly Afraid of Getting “Too” Successful?
Many service-based healing professionals and coaches harbor a secret fear that their life will fall apart if they become too successful. Visions of overwork and overwhelm cause them to put the brakes on growing their client-base. If this fear is one of your Belief Hurdles, the best thing to do is focus on all the people you’ll be helping, rather than on your concern that you won’t be able to “handle it.” There are myriad resources out there to support you as your business grows – mentors, assistants, content area specialists, books, trainings, software, support services. The other thing to focus on is that you’re going to grow as your business grows. So, relax and know the tools, resources and mindset you need will be there when you need them.
Belief Opportunity #2 - Are You Giving It Away?
Fear of not being “good enough” can mean you can end up giving away your time, your services or your expertise, attracting clients who leave you exhausted and even resentful. The problem is, no matter how much you give away, it’s never enough. This is most appealing to those clients who sense your “weak spot” and are likely to take advantage of your generosity. The way to put a stop to that unwholesome dynamic is to know (just as the Universe knows) that you are perfect, right now, just as you are. And that what you have to offer has the potential to transform someone’s life. Why shouldn’t they pay well for that?
Belief Opportunity #3 - Are You Shy About Singing Your Own Praises?
The best clients naturally want to work with the best coaches and practitioners. Rather than hoping they’ll guess at your level of expertise, it’s simplest just to tell clients how good you are at helping them. You don’t have to brag – that’s not appealing. But you definitely want to share case studies, client successes and testimonials in your conversations, newsletters and presentations. It’s not that you’re taking credit for their success, just acknowledging your contribution. And your clients will enjoy being spotlighted in this way.
For example, one of my Platinum Success Party clients recently brought in $8598 in just three weeks (her initial Money Goal was $2500, but she’s not complaining!). How did she do it? By powerfully and authentically applying her new brand identity and money mindset that she’d experienced at the Platinum retreat.
Belief Opportunity #4 - Are You Being the Kind of Client You Want to Attract?
“My clients love what I have to offer, but they won’t pay for it!” If you find yourself expressing this frustration, ask yourself if you’re putting your money where your mouth is. Like attracts like – if you want clients who are ready to take action, to work on their stuff, and to invest in high-end programs, are you doing the same thing? If you want Platinum clients, for example, are you investing in a Platinum program? High quality clients want to see that you’re walking the path before them, and investing time, energy and resources in your own growth and learning.
The Universe Is Happy to Send the Right Clients Your Way
If you’re not happy with the number or quality of the clients you’re attracting, you don’t have to settle for that. The wisest course of action is to take a look at what Belief Hurdles might be at the bottom of it. You’ll know exactly where to create a breakthrough, so the Universe can start sending ‘em your way, post haste.
