I was hiking the Ventana Canyon trail this morning, thinking about how I could help you be more successful with your one-on-one “Get ‘Em to Say Yes” conversations with potential clients. (I do think about you even when we’re not together.)
I had a wonderful epiphany out among the saguaro cactus and I couldn’t wait to share it with you.
Join me for more non-salesy sales tips on Wed., Nov. 18.

It’s been hot here in Tucson (no surprise for July) but we’ve had some lovely cool (or at least, coolish) breezes in the evening. So I made the most of the opportunity to record one of my Passion for Profit video tips outside on my patio the other night.
Taking fast, decisive action is paramount in moving your business forward.
And that’s one of the main themes in the video tips series I’m sharing on how to turn your special brand of transformation into income-generating programs - quickly. It’s not too late to get in on the fun. Go here to register. . .

Knowing what to say –and HOW to say it- in the “selling conversation” is typically a HUGE problem for most of us creative, service-based business owners.
I did a video yesterday to help you know how to deal with prospective clients who want to talk about price first thing. Understandable from the buyer’s perspective but a real no-no from the service provider’s perspective. I tell you why in the video.
I also share how I handle that. And I have to admit, it’s so simple it’s almost laughable. Whenever I teach a private client this “trick” they always say, “Of course! That makes perfect sense. I don’t know why I never thought of it.”
And when you’re done watching, click on the link below to sign up for the FREE informational call I’m hosting Tuesday, May 19 on this very problematic topic. (The link is down below the video.)
Now, PLEASE NOTE – like a goofball I say Tuesday, May 18 in the video, but ignore that. Tuesday is, in fact, the 19th as anyone who can read a calendar knows.
So, click here to check out the details and sign up today.
I pah-romise it’ll be worth your while!

I spent a long weekend masterminding at a Platinum retreat with my business mentor Kendall SummerHawk, and my colleagues (and buddies) Anese Cavanaugh and Sandy Martini.
They encouraged me (OK, strong-armed me!) into doing my very first video blog tip for you right there on the patio of lovely Casa de Luna in Tucson. You can even hear the fountain bubbling in the background.
What’s been on my mind so much lately is how, especially in this disheartened economic atmosphere, it’s entirely possible to keep making sales and keep getting great results in your business IF you’ve got a solid strategy for how to do that.
In a free teleseminar I’m doing this week, I share tips on exactly how you can create that plan for yourself.
After you watch the video (it’s quick, just under a minute), click on the link below to join me on the call. Oh, and leave a comment to tell me what you thought of my “inaugural” video post.
(I’ll tell you right up front - I was NERVOUS, so I look a little serious and unnatural. It can only get better from here, right?)

What does Lindsay Lohan have to do with YOU and online marketing?
Say what you will about her – the girl is masterful at getting other people to talk about her so she stays “top of mind” with her audience (and a lot of other people, besides).
She doesn’t worry about being perfect (clearly), or losing credibility by doing it “wrong” (clearly) or annoying her fans with too much exposure (clearly).
She just knows that when people are talking about you, that’s a good thing.
In the parlance of persuasion language, that’s one form of what’s called “social proof.” Social proof is an extremely POTENT way of influencing others, and it’s a VITAL element in any online marketing campaign.
So that’s the tie in, my friend, between you, Lindsay Lohan and online marketing.
Now, you don’t need to go out and party like Lindsay to capitalize on the effects of social proof. In fact, social proof is one of the topics I’m addressing in my latest teleseminar, “How You Can Reach More People w/ Your Passionate Message AND Create 5 –Figure Paydays for Yourself at the Same Time”
It’s FREE and happening on Thursday, April 2.
If you’re searching for ways to improve your online marketing activities, I encourage you to join me.

Looking forward to talking more with you then!

Are your sales lagging behind (for some, FAR behind) what you want them to be?
Truth is, most businesses never live up to their online potential. And that’s not because your products and programs aren’t great.
It’s because most heart-centered, service-based business owners are confused about how to put together online launch campaigns that really pay off.
I’ve been hearing a number of questions and concerns from many of you about the best way to get started, so I wanted to address a few here.

Not too long ago I was having a conversation with a small group of clients about how to improve their “Yes Factor” (the number of people who bought from them). Two of the participants spoke up to say they were highly uncomfortable with selling. They preferred to just tell people what they do and let the prospective client make up their own mind about whether to hire them or not.
And by their own admission, they weren’t working with the number of clients they wanted. (I see several nods of recognition from you out there.)
The problem with that strategy is:
• It’s too passive
• It’s too vague
Without a clear, compelling offer and Call to Action, you leave your audience at a disadvantage. They have “the facts,” but you’re expecting them to correctly interpret and apply those facts to their own situation. In the name of not being pushy, you’re asking them to do some mental heavy lifting. Potential buyers typically don’t like to do heavy lifting, mental or otherwise. That’s what they’re paying you for!
People need to know you’re offering something specific. They need to know exactly how it will transform their situation. And they need to know you’re passionate about delivering that transformation. Minus those factors, they can’t give you a decision (other than a “default no”).
So to assist you in finding a comfortable, authentic solution to the Making-Sales-Without-Being-Salesy challenge, here are three fresh and simple tips. . .
